Then I started linking up with other companies. If I like a brand, I want to photograph their bottles and their artwork. I want to see what I can create with what they’re doing. I was working with lots of big companies and things were taking off, so it was taking up a lot of time. It was tough to balance the whole Instagram thing with family time and everything else. I’ve got a full-time job and a family, so I had to take a step back and now I work with about three or four companies that are regulars. I used to do a lot of outdoor stuff. Now, I do a lot of indoor flat lay stuff like the colour-coded stuff. It’s all set up in our bedroom, much to the dismay of my wife. I remember by fi rst Vaper Expo. I just walked through the door and thought ‘Oh my God!’ This wasn’t just about it being vape- orientated. The atmosphere was incredible. Everyone seemed so happy and friendly and from all walks of life and they were all there for the same thing. With so much anger and violence in the world it was great to be at a place where everyone was happy and contented. I’ve met lifelong friends at Vaper Expo. Most of the friends I have now I met there, like Dan UK Vapour Shaper, Andy Vapor Mafi a and Lee and Jay from Vaper Expo. Dan contacted me and said: “Look, they’re going to get some reps together and they wondered if you were up for it.” I snapped the words out of his mouth. “I’m on it. I’ll do it. I love it. Expo is just life.” I go to every expo I can and take photos for them. I turn up as early as possible on Friday and then go around shooting the event and socialising and I absolutely love it. I also run their Instagram account alongside Dan and Andy. I think of my Expo weekends as my break away from normality. It’s my heaven. It’s Andy time. I can just be me and not have to worry about anything else and just be with my mates and like-minded people. Just chill out and have a couple of drinks, eat too much food and talk vaping and nonsense with like-minded people. A lot of people know who I am. I’m not very famous but a lot of people approach me, whether that be for a selfi e or whatever. It’s all friends. I love doing it. I absolutely enjoy communicating with people within the vape industry. I see it from many different angles. I see it from a professional point of view and a vaper’s point of view. I’m super excited for my break away from the mundane everyday stuff that we do full-time. It’s so nice to get away and do something special with your mates. I mean who wouldn’t like that? It’s all about the community and that’s awesome. VAPER EXPO 47
