The AMA awards were held on 28th September , and a real thrill to see our very own Connie Boyd receive a Special Fellowship Award for her dedication for promoting diversity in magic , and in particular highlighting Magical Women . Connie has long been the driving force behind getting magical women in the public and magic spotlight by not only writing and producing articles and YouTube shows , but also producing and directing live touring shows both on land and at sea featuring top female performers . As a director , writer , producer , and performer Connie has made a huge impact on our craft and I would like to personally thank her for her dedication and professionalism in how she approaches her monthly columns in VANISH . She has never missed a deadline and always delivers top quality articles .
Hanson Chien has become one of the top producers and creators of high-end magic .
