PROLOGUE
It ' s a strange time to be a live performer .
In the beginning of the pandemic I made some plans as to how I ’ d spend it , how to do something useful despite the uncertainty , spending my time productively .
Practicing , writing new material and raising my level in general . I also thought to myself , I ’ m supposed to be one of the creative ones so let ' s be creative and find a way to work in this storm .
But I soon realized how important goals , projects and deadlines are for me , and that the pressure I had put on myself was unrealistic . So I gave myself permission to not be or do anything special right now .
Instead , I am gardening , and learning how to make stuff in concrete . It ’ s my new favorite material . What I will make ? I don ’ t know . No point trying to figure it out , the process of model building , ideas and failure , will take me in a direction I don ’ t know yet . It ’ s exciting .
