Launch charity programme
In a rare show of camaraderie, 20-odd
magicians from the district shared a
platform at Cheroor, near Vengara, the
other day and performed their magical
skills to a packed school auditorium. The
district unit of the Malayali Magicians
Association (MMA) organised the event
marking the beginning of a charity
programme titled ‘Karunyajaalam’.
First time
“It is the first time in the magic history of
Kerala that so many magicians performed
on a single stage for a cause without
accepting any remuneration,” said MMA
joint secretary Malayil Hamza.

Secondary School at Cheroor were
mesmerised as each magician vied for a
place in the students’ hearts.
Apart from Mr. Hamza, the other
magicians presented programmes
included M.M. Puthiyath, Latheef
Kottakkal, Shamsu Panayi, Sulfi
Muthangode, Ishaq Porur, Sreedharan
Mampad and Joy Thengumtharayil.

She’ll lie on me until I let her out for

Sounds cute, but she’s a
Newfoundland and weighs 9st, even
though she’s still a puppy.

I often have a lot of stomach pain
because I suffer from Crohn’s disease,
so I take medication before breakfast.
All my food is specially prepared.
Because of my illness I can’t eat dairy,
gluten, fats or a lot of vegetables.
