ere we are at the start of the sixth year for VANISH MAGIC MAGAZINE
and it continues to go from strength to strength. I am lucky to have
a wonderful team of friends who are always ready to help out in
anyway they can. A special thanks to Hal Myers and Ben Robinson who
helped out enormously last year when called upon, which was pretty much
every edition.
While it has meant more work for me I am glad I decided to go monthly
with the magazine. It has enabled us to feature a variety of artists on the
cover and inside the magazine. One of the secrets of VANISH, and the
amazing number of downloads we get each month, is due in part because
the articles have a far greater reach than just the magic community. I have
been able to tap in to the music and variety world, and have seen a lot of
readership coming from outside of the magic community. My aim has
always been to try and expand what we have been used to in the past and
provide articles that are both entertaining and inspiring for all entertainers.
I am honored to have on the cover of the first edition of 2018 Murray
Hatfield and Teresa. They are truly Canadian magic icons and have been
touring with their illusion show for over 21 years. For the past two years
they appeared in front of crowds of 10,000 people every night for two
weeks, and were not only the star performers but also the producers,
directors and chorographers of the show. This couple are the epitome of
professionalism and together I call them the "Dynamic Duo." I don't know
of any other couple in magic who has the experience or knowledge to do
what they do on such a grand scale. They have literally "been there and
done that," and their recognition is long overdue.
I am always open to ideas and suggestions for what you would like to see in
the magazine. As you know VANISH is also a printed magazine, and copies
can be ordered online through the magazine itself. There are different sizes,
black and white copies as well as a hard copy edition. I don't believe any
other magic magazine in history has ever offered so many choices in the
way you can get your printed copy. VANISH is all about keeping ahead of
trends and bringing the best and latest technology to our readers.

WITHOUT them the magazine WOULD NOT EXIST!! I still keep it free and
with every penny that comes in via advertising I put it all back in to keeping
it free for everybody to enjoy.
