Advanced Valve Technologies ( AVT ) has launched its groundbreaking EZ Valve insertion valve in Spain via a new strategic partnership with B Continuity Solutions , an asset management and maintenance company that focuses on ensuring businesses can continue to operate even during times of repair and maintenance . This ethos sits hand-in-hand with AVT ’ s drive to keep water flowing while valves are installed on live lines . The AVT EZ Valve uses an integral isolation gate , which when operated after the slot has been milled into the pipe , allows the EM machine , which milled the slot , to be removed and the resilient wedge installed . This process means the valve can be installed on a live line while the water is flowing . The resilient wedge needs to be lowered just 2 / 3 of the way into the pipe to commission the installation meaning users have the choice of when to turn off their water .
Warren Controls offers industrial control valves
Warren Controls , a manufacturer of control valves and specialty fluid handling products announces the Series 2900 industrial control valves , ideal for food and beverage , packaged water heaters , pharmaceutical , and general service applications , as well as wastewater applications with moderate pressure drops and temperatures from -20 ° to 400 ° F . The Series 2900 features rugged cast iron bodies and is available in a variety of trim materials , including bronze , 300 stainless steel , 17-4pH stainless steel , and Alloy 6 ( cobalt-chromiumtungsten ). Available valve body styles include 2-way single seat unbalanced , 2-way cylinder balanced , 2-way double seat balanced , 3-way mixing , and 3-way diverting . The equal percentage
and linear plugs in the 2-way valves and linear plugs in the 3-way valves provide excellent modulating control of a wide variety of fluids . The Series 2900 is ideally suited for applications in which value and long life are important objectives .
New Blockbody POSV for high back pressure
POSV ( pilot-operated safety valves ) only react to the pressure at the valve inlet and are not affected by the back pressure . The maximum back pressure of a POSV is 70 % of the set pressure as standard . But what to do if the back pressure is higher ? To secure an injection system , a customer of LESER needed a POSV that could secure a process with 200 bar-g design back pressure at a set pressure of 207 bar-g . This is four times more than the standard API 526 . LESER engineers solved this with a block body design that can withstand high outlet pressure . This is because the standard cast bodies are not designed for these high back pressures . In order to prove that the valve bodies manufactured for the first time comply with the regulations , tests were carried out on the LESER water test bench .

This approach expands the LESER POSV portfolio and makes it more flexible for different requirements . To enable redundant overpressure protection with POSV in a changeover valve combination , the POSV must be equipped with the option “ Remote Sensing ”. Remote Sensing is a separate pressure tapping . POSV has a very high capacity , which leads to inlet pressure losses through the supply line and the change-over valve . With the option “ Remote Sensing ” the pressure tapping is already done at the inlet of the change-over valve . In this way , the pressure loss occurring in the change-over valve is bypassed . LESER carried out validation tests for function , performance , and switching for these combinations on its own test bench in Hamburg .
