As we work our way through the final weeks of the year, the global Valve World team are turning their attention to next year’ s events. It seems that no matter where you are in the world, you’ ll find a Valve World conference – or one of our related events – nearby. Our team works in the background to facilitate networking, business and knowledge sharing opportunities for our global communities, and we strive to unite the key players in each region.
This month, we have updates on no less than three of our events! Turn to page 19 for the Valve World conference & expo Düsseldorf, Germany 2026 Call for Papers – this is your chance to send in an abstract and share your knowledge and experience with our global community.
On page 32, our editor in Canada, Steven Fennell, has provided an update on our very first Valve World Calgary event, scheduled to take place in June 2026. Canada is a booming market for the valve industry and this new location is generating excitement around the globe. Located at the heart of the oil & gas industry it’ s sure to be a pivotal event for the North American sector.
Last but certainly not least, we also have an update and Call for Papers for the upcoming Fugitive Emissions Summit, to be held in Pasadena, Texas, in April 2026. This is a targeted event which brings together many of the worlds leading experts on fugitive emissions, LDAR and related topics. If this is your specialty, you can’ t miss the opportunity to get involved. Turn to page 40 to find out more.
Our special focus topic this month is water / wastewater, and we have several features on this topic. As James Chater highlights in his feature on page 14, water scarcity is increasing as our climate changes. Fortunately, technologies are emerging that make water management more efficient and sustainable.
This month we have a unique company featured on the cover: INTOCO, a highly respected steel distribution organisation. The team there specialises in supplying high quality prime bar materials from its UK headquarters. Over the past fifty years, countless clients have relied on the company’ s high level of service and uncompromising quality to source speciality steels, including many valve manufacturers. Valve World met with Tony Preece, Managing Director, to learn more.
I hope you enjoy this month’ s magazine!
