SLB Capturi and Aker Solutions win a contract
Vexve completes the acquisition of Frese A / S
Emerson helps oil & gas company meet emissions standards
SLB has announced that SLB Capturi , in collaboration with Aker Solutions , has been awarded an engineering , procurement , construction , installation and commissioning ( EPCIC ) contract from Hafslund Celsio AS to deliver a carbon capture solution at its waste-to-energy facility in Klemetsrud , Oslo . Hafslund Celsio is Norway ’ s largest district heating supplier and the owner and operator of Norway ’ s largest waste-to-energy plant . Hafslund Celsio ’ s carbon capture project is part of Longship , the Norwegian Government ’ s full value-chain carbon capture and storage ( CCS ) project . The contract award includes delivery of a carbon capture plant , liquefaction system , temporary storage , and a loading facility at the waste incineration site . It also includes an intermediate CO 2 storage and ship loading system at Oslo harbor , from where the CO 2 will be transported to the Northern Lights permanent storage facility on the Norwegian continental shelf . When operational , the carbon capture plant is expected to capture 350,000 metric tons of
CO 2 annually .
Vexve has completed the acquisition of the leading Danish valve manufacturer Frese A / S . By joining forces with Frese , Vexve strengthens its position as the leading European provider of mission-critical valve solutions in the transition to a low-carbon future . Frese ’ s highly complementary valve offering in hydronic systems , great production capacity and a strong foothold in the Central European market strengthen Vexve ’ s leading position as a mission-critical valve solutions provider for energy infrastructure in the transition to a low-carbon future . Vexve has now finalised the formal FDI filing process in Denmark and the Frese transaction was completed recently . Following the acquisition , the company will have a combined turnover of approximately EUR 200M .
RuB Inc ., to showcase innovative solutions at AHR Expo
RuB Inc ., will be exhibiting RuB ball valves and actuators at the AHR Expo 2025 . The event is scheduled from February 10th through 12th at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando , Florida . AHR Expo is the leading event for HVAC-R professionals , featuring more than 1,800 exhibitors and attracting more than 50,000 attendees from various sectors , including engineering , contractors , OEMs , distributors and utilities . This year ’ s exhibition will cover a wide range of fields , including heating , cooling , refrigeration , plumbing and automation .
Flowserve to supply dry gas seals
Emerson recently partnered with Laramie Energy to help the Colorado-based oil and gas producer comply with state and federal emissions regulations . Using ASCOTM zero-emissions electric dump valves , the only such allelectric solution for separators , scrubbers and compression units , Emerson helped Laramie Energy achieve compliance by eliminating both vented and fugitive emissions from the liquid dump stage of their separation process . With precise control , ASCO electric dump valves actuate in 50 to 75 milliseconds compared to conventional valves that take several seconds , thus virtually eliminating any chance of gas blowby . This helped Laramie Energy better maintain the static pressure of their vessels which ultimately led to an increase in natural gas production . The valves also use 1.2 watts ( W ) of energy compared to a conventional electric retrofit kit that uses 96 W , reducing valve power usage by 98.75 %.
Flowserve Corporation has been awarded a contract to supply Dry Gas Seals and Dry Gas Seal Systems to support a groundbreaking initiative for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company ( ADNOC ), the state-owned oil and gas company of the United Arab Emirates . The initiative will be accomplished through Flowserve ’ s collaboration with Celeros Flow Technology ( Celeros ), a major force in the flow control technology space providing solutions that deliver outstanding performance while minimizing environmental impacts .
