Expansion of hygienic valves
Preventing overpressure
Pressure relief valves play a key role in protecting equipment from overpressure. In hygienic processing systems, particularly those using positive displacement pumps, managing pressure is essential to maintaining safe and efficient operations. Paired with and powered by Alfa Laval ThinkTop ® technology for valve monitoring and control, the Unique SSV Pressure Relief Valve safeguards process efficiency, productivity and safety. This modular valve shares spare parts with other Unique SSV valves, simplifying maintenance and reducing service costs. Being fully CIP-able, regardless of the pressure setting, ensures the valve is reliable hygiene and performance while minimising downtime.
Enhancing safety
Product safety and efficiency are the key assets of the Leakage Detection Butterfly Valve. Realtime monitoring and control features from the ThinkTop ® series can help detect and respond to potential issues promptly, helping maintain system reliability. Compact designs with fewer components— such as a single seal, disc, and actuator— can also reduce installation and maintenance efforts. Due to being fully CIPcompatible, these valves contribute to process efficiency by supporting more continuous operation and resource savings.
A wider range of mixproof valve sizes
Smaller valve sizes are increasingly important in hygienic processing, especially where space or precision dosing is a concern. Alfa Laval is thus extending its Unique Mixproof range with two new sizes— 1”( DN25) and 11 ⁄ 2”( DN40)— of the Unique Mixproof CIP and Mixproof Process valves. These smaller double-seat mixproof valves offer high cleanability, pressure resistance and adaptability to meet diverse hygienic processing needs. With these new sizes, manufacturers can easily integrate more compact CIP skids, valve matrices and dosing lines into hygienic processing lines while maintaining the safety that mixproof valves deliver.
