Emissions in the Oil and Gas sector, and Eduardo Orozco, Sendero ESG Solutions, talked about multidisciplinary mitigation from orphaned wells. Mina Georgy, Mokveld Valves, spoke about the how and why of valves without a dynamic seal to atmosphere, and Chris Kennell finished off the session with an eye-opening delivery on the potential of eliminating fugitive emissions with stemless valve technology.
The day concluded with a happy hour that helped solidify the connections made. Day Two opened with Paul Heald, Bonney Forge, and Rodney Roth, Nippon Pillar, tag teaming an insightful keynote on the history of valve technology. They put the current moment in context and painted today’ s advances in a new light. Following that, guests had the option of either a hands-on demo by Benito Rodriguez of Teadit or a tour of the incredible facilities at San Jacinto’ s LyondellBasell Center for Petrochemical, Energy, and Technology. After lunch, the day concluded with a brilliant panel session chaired by Rodney Roth, Nippon Pillar, on the future of low emissions.
