Networking
large-scale valves, highlighting the sheer size and versatility of their production capabilities. The size and scale of their work were unmistakable, especially when seen next to our editor in the photos taken during the tour. The final visit took our team to OMC S. p. A., where they met with Marketing Manager Cristina Verrengia for a tour of the valve manufacturing department and instrumentation workshop. While valves tend to dominate discussions, the instrumentation segment offered a broader perspective on the industry’ s reach. OMC not only manufactures control and blowdown valves but also maintains a comprehensive inventory of positioners, transmitters and conversion equipment. The company is now expanding its digital presence to better showcase this diverse offering.
OMC Med Energy Exhibition
Not to be confused with OMC S. p. A., the OMC Med Energy exhibition in Ravenna was another event on our team’ s agenda. With over 14,000 participants and more than 400 exhibitors, the exhibition created a dynamic space where industry leaders, researchers and innovators came together to explore the future of energy. What made this event particularly valuable was the diversity of its attendees, not just manufacturers and suppliers, but also a strong presence of end users. This kind of direct interaction is vital for the growth of the sector, as it opens up meaningful conversations about real-world needs, operational challenges and opportunities for innovation. The exhibition floor was lively and varied, offering a wide range of technologies and perspectives that highlighted the evolving landscape of the energy and valve industries.

After much driving and many insightful conversations, Italy proved to be a rewarding and enriching experience for our team. Having direct contact with long-term clients offered a valuable opportunity to deepen relationships, understand evolving industry needs and witness firsthand the innovation happening across the valve and sealing sectors. From factory floors to exhibition halls, the trip reinforced the importance of collaboration, precision and clear communication in driving the industry forward. We return not only with strengthened connections but with a renewed appreciation for the expertise and passion shaping the future of flow control.
