VDL Groep acquires Olocco Axens acquires HydroThane Holding
VDL Groep has acquired the Italian company Olocco , a manufacturer of rotary valves and industrial diverting valves . VDL expects to further strengthen its production and sales activities in the Foodtech domain , one of the ‘ five worlds of VDL ’.
VDL Industrial Products from Eindhoven , one of VDL ’ s operating companies , has been the exclusive representative in the Benelux of the products of industry partner Olocco since the early 1990s .

Axens has acquired HydroThane Holding BV , an engineering company specialized in biological technologies for the treatment of industrial wastewater streams to protect the environment . Based in the Netherlands , HydroThane has more than 35 years of operational experience and a proven track record of above 170 references worldwide in a wide range of industries such as food and beverages ( including breweries , distilleries , dairies ), PTA production plant ( Purified Terephthalic Acid ), chemical , pharmaceutical , pulp & paper and , bioethanol production .
Bifold Group has adopted digital torque transducers from Sensor Technology Ltd for two of its specialist test rigs to analyse the long-term performance and reliability of valves and pumps . Bifold manufacturers instrument valves and accessories , piping valves , and pumps for the oil , gas , and industrial markets . It has expertise in subsea and wellhead control systems and has developed technology in areas such as solenoid valves with ultra-low power requirements . Many of Bifold ’ s products are built to custom designs , yet they are produced with very short lead times thanks to the efficiency of internet communications .
McMenon to produce ABB line
A range of Variable Area ( VA ) Flowmeters will now be manufactured in Workington , Cumbria ( UK ) after McMenon Engineering Services Ltd was chosen by global technology company ABB to make the VA flowmeter product portfolio that had been produced by ABB in Germany . Following the acquisition , McMenon will continue to supply VA meters carrying the ABB brand and the meters remain part of ABB ’ s product offering . McMenon , a manufacturer and supplier of
