PDC launches electro-hydraulic actuators Oliver Valves launches Slimline monoflanges
PDC LLC , a Pittsburgh based valve and actuator manufacturer , has launched Electro-Hydraulic Actuators to be marketed under their Magnus Force ® brand . PDC will utilise its growing representative and distribution network to penetrate targeted industries . PDC LLC is a supplier of custom damper butterfly valves that are widely used in air management , water / wastewater , and other industries . Recently PDC embarked on diversification of its product portfolio , including the introduction of its Magnus Force ® brand of electric , pneumatic , and now electro-hydraulic actuators as an economical alternative for the valve and actuation industry .
“ Our new line of electro-hydraulic actuators , which are manufactured by PDC LLC , offers the market a cost-effective solution with aggressive lead times ,” said Mark Santo , President of PDC LLC .
Parker receives EC 79 certification
Parker Hannifin has received EC-79 certification for its Autoclave Engineers SM Series of medium-pressure needle valves , and its mediumpressure cone and thread fittings . The EC-79 approval and certification are part of an EU regulation requirement for components and systems that are intended for installation on hydrogen-powered vehicles . EC-79 type approval certifies components used can withstand electrical , mechanical , thermal , and chemical operating conditions without leaking or becoming deformed . The hydrogen variation to the needle valves incorporates a unique stem / seat and PTFE packing design that can withstand temperatures ranging between -40 ° C and 120 ° C and pressures of up to 700 bar ( 10,152 psi ). Both the SM Series needle valves and cone and thread fittings are available with anti-vibration connections , which move stress concentration to the unthreaded part of the tubing , and are supplied in sizes up to 1 inch .
ValvTechnologies launches new brand
In LNG plants there are ‘ cold service ’ applications and cryogenic . Cold service is typically between -29degC ( -20degF ) and -50degC ( -58degF ). Valving for cold service do not require cryogenic bonnet extensions , however , they often require smaller extensions to allow for the application of lagging which can be up to 50mm thick . A bonnet extension with lagged valves moves the top of the bonnet outside the lagging so if it ever develops a gland leak , the fluid will not be trapped within the lagging and cause corrosion . Oliver Valves Slimline Monoflange block & bleed and double block & bleed assemblies , utilise an outside screw and yoke needle valve primary isolate and an inside screw and yoke type needle valves for a second isolate and bleed valve . For cold service applications , these can be supplied with extended bonnets . To validate the two types of needle valves with extended bonnets , Oliver has utilised the rigorous testing requirements called for within the Shell specification 77 / 300 . Oliver performed the 77 / 300 validation test within its R & D facility , on a 1-1 / 2 ” Class 2500 Block & Bleed Slimline Monoflange with extended bonnets . The performance of all the gland seals at -50degC was well within leak rate BH and seat leaks were zero . Testing was performed at ASME pressure classes 600 and 2500 .
ValvTechnologies , LLC , a manufacturer of zero-leakage severe service isolation valve solutions , has launched a new brand and website . With ValvTechnologies approaching its 35th year in business and coupled with the change in ownership last year to Severn Group , the company is taking this opportunity to refresh the ValvTechnologies ’ brand with a more modern look . The new logo and brand are designed to highlight ValvTechnologies ’ innovative culture and energy , with a focus on the distinct spelling of the company ’ s name .
