The Third Annual Valve World Mexico Conference & Expo was a Resounding Success !
BRAZIL : Unigel , one of the largest chemical companies in Latin America and the largest manufacturer of nitrogen fertilizers in Brazil , has invested a total of USD $ 120 million in the development of the production site for green hydrogen . In the first phase of the project , Unigel will install three 20 MW standard electrolyzers from thyssenkrupp nucera , adding up to a total capacity of 60 MW . The plant will feed one of the largest green ammonia plants by capacity when it starts its production . The company plans to quadruple its production of green hydrogen in the years following the inauguration by expanding the electrolyzer plant to a multihundred MW facility , which will produce approximately 40,000 tons of green hydrogen .
Far exceeding the expectations of exhibitors and guests alike , the two day Valve World Mexico Conference & Expo , held at the Sheraton Mexico City Maria Isabel , provided a dynamic meeting point . Hundreds of manufacturers , distributors , and end users capitalized on the opportunity to speak with each other and discover the latest technologies .

Guests then had the opportunity to participate in one of two panels : Valve Selection panel , and Fugitive Emissions panel , or visit the expo floor . The event continued into the afternoon , and attendees had the chance to learn about Advanced Diagnostics , Updates on API 6D , and Valve Life Cycles , before indulging in AIV ’ s sponsored Tequila bar to reflect on what they had learned . As day one drew to a close , attendees were invited to join a hospitality event hosted by TEADIT and Neway Valve .
Day two began similarly with two insightful keynotes . The first was an address by Chance Russo , Sesto Valves , and the second was delivered by Lee Fang , FBV , and João Carlos Vitorino , JCV Industrial , on How to Make Good Valves . These were immediately followed
by a series of highly anticipated workshops whose topics included : Why Valves Fail , Valve Sealing Challenges , New Technologies , Valves in Large Engineering Projects . These sessions ran parallel to the expo hall giving attendees the opportunity to learn and network simultaneously .
As day two ended event visitors once again taste-tested at AIV ’ s sponsored Tequila as they looked back over the successful 2022 event and said their final farewells .

SPECIAL TOPIC : Disaster Preparation / Mitigation Management
Natural disaster planning in the petrochemical and energy sector is essential to ensuring the safety of both the community as well as the surrounding environment . When considering the impact of a natural disaster , the foremost consideration is the impact to people in the region . This ‘ human impact ’ is the picture portrayed in the media and the narrative that is projected to the wider world . A disruption in the energy supply similarly has a widespread effect on every aspect of life from turning the lights on at home to powering hospitals .
