Chevron to Boost Oil and Natural Gas Recovery at Two Facilities in U . S . Gulf of Mexico
Chevron Corporation has announced it started water injection operations at two projects to boost oil and natural gas recovery at the company ’ s existing Jack / St . Malo and Tahiti facilities in the deepwater U . S . Gulf of Mexico , where Chevron operations produce some of the world ’ s lowest carbon intensity oil and gas .
At the Jack / St . Malo facility , Chevron achieved first water injection at the St . Malo field , the company ’ s first waterflood project in the deepwater Wilcox trend . The project was delivered under budget , with the addition of water injection facilities , two new production wells , and two new injection wells . It is expected to add approximately 175 million barrels of oil equivalent to the St . Malo field ’ s gross ultimate recovery .

Through this stocking agreement , maritime operators in Europe , the USA , and Asia will benefit from 24 / 7 access to GF Piping Systems ’ products , supported by W & O ’ s team of technical flow control experts .
Celeros FT appoints new director to develop valve aftermarket service and support
Celeros FT announced the appointment of David Young to the newly created post of Aftermarket Service Development Director . He ’ s tasked with extending the global reach of our aftermarket support and further improving the range of lifecycle services they offer to their valve customers .
David Young brings a wealth of experience to the role . Holding a Master ’ s degree in mechanical engineering , he has more than 30 years of experience in international technical and managerial roles with companies including Petrofac and Severn . His expertise includes the design , manufacture , and overhaul of rotating and static equipment , working in both dynamic service environments and original equipment manufacturing . David is also no stranger to the Celeros FT portfolio . He started his career as an apprentice in Glasgow at the company that is now our ClydeUnion Pumps brand , rising to be Principal Engineer .
