ARGENTINA : Another major success has been achieved for Argentina ’ s burgeoning energy industry and Stream-Flo once again was front and center for it .
The latest Argentine achievement , which saw an exploratory well drilled for the first time in Argentina ’ s Santa Cruz province in the Palermo Aike unconventional formation , is being heralded a resounding success .
They were proud to display that service excellence with their participation in the project , with Stream-Flo Argentina Field Technician Gian Luca Iglesias recently taking to LinkedIn to celebrate the successful start-up of the promising Maypa X-1 well .
USA : Chevron Corporation has announced it started water injection operations at two projects to boost oil and natural gas recovery at the company ’ s existing Jack / St . Malo and Tahiti facilities in the deepwater U . S . Gulf of Mexico , where Chevron operations produce some of the world ’ s lowest carbon intensity oil and gas .
At the Jack / St . Malo facility , Chevron achieved first water injection at the St . Malo field , the company ’ s first waterflood project in the deepwater Wilcox trend . The project was delivered under budget , with the addition of water injection facilities , two new production wells , and two new injection wells . It is expected to add approximately 175 million barrels of oil equivalent to the St . Malo field ’ s gross ultimate recovery .
Enbridge Sanctions Pipelines to Support bp ’ s New Deepwater U . S . Gulf of Mexico Development
Enbridge Inc . announced that it will build , own , and operate crude oil and natural gas pipelines in the U . S . Gulf of Mexico for the recently sanctioned Kaskida development , operated by BP Exploration & Production Company .
The crude oil pipeline , named the Canyon Oil Pipeline System , will be a combination of 24 ” and 26 ” pipe with capacity of 200,000 barrels per day . It will originate in the Keathley Canyon area and deliver crude to the existing Green Canyon 19 platform , operated by Shell Pipeline Company LP for ultimate delivery to the Louisiana market .
The natural gas pipeline , named the Canyon Gathering System , will be a 12 ” pipeline with capacity of 125 million cubic feet per day and will connect subsea to Enbridge ’ s existing Magnolia Gas Gathering Pipeline , which then delivers to Enbridge ’ s

SPECIAL TOPIC : SEALING & PACKING TECHNOLOGIES
Industrial valves and fugitive emissions have been a consistent point of discussion for the past 30 years , drawing continuous interest and debate . The interaction between the valve , stem graphite packing , and its surrounding environment remains a key focus in scientific conferences , where it continues to garner significant attention . However , over time , the regulatory framework for Low Emission standards has been more established .

options which bp may elect to exercise in order to connect potential future production from its emerging Paleogene portfolio into the newly developed pipelines . Both the Canyon Oil and the Canyon Gas pipelines are being designed to accommodate connections from nearby discoveries .
Detailed design and procurement activities will commence in early 2025 with the pipelines expected to be operational by 2029 . The cost of the pipelines will be approximately US $ 700 million .
With oil and gas producers taking care to meet various environmental requirements , many are turning to dump valves as a source of unwanted emissions . These traditionally pneumatic components , which control the discharge of liquids from separators and other production vessels , rely on well gas , compressed air , or nitrogen to pilot the valve , resulting in a multitude of different emissionsrelated concerns that are harmful to the environment and create compliance issues .
