Continued Growth, Product Development, and Severe Service
For this issue of Valve World Americas, we highlight Combet Valves as the November Cover Story. Based in Houten, The Netherlands, the company has been manufacturing highpressure, high-performance compact valves when it began operations in 2017.
They have since established a strong presence in Europe and Asia— and now in the U. S.— with a sales office and established distributors in West Texas and Louisiana. The company offers an extensive range of valve products, all engineered for optimal fluid control in demanding environments where reliability and safety are essential. You can read the full article starting on page 6.
That brings us to our Special Topic of Severe Service. This edition provides an opportunity to take a deeper look at severe service environments, as well as the products and solutions that operate within them.
For instance, on page 12, we address various aspects of these types of valves, including high-pressure applications, proper maintenance, and performance. Then, on page 24, we report how end users can overcome the limitations of traditional valve systems while achieving advantages in cost, sustainability, and performance.
Our November issue also includes insightful news and the latest business developments across the Americas. On a special note, see our Meeting Point on page 14. We are happy to report that the Valve World Calgary Expo & Conference, to be held June 3 – 4, 2026, is already attracting much attention with exhibitor booth registrations and expanded exhibitor floor space.
We are well into the planning stages, and now is the ideal time to submit your abstract in response to our Call for Papers. Be sure to look for upcoming promotions, and we welcome all submissions before the deadline of January 10, 2026. You can visit www. valve-world-calgary. com to enter your abstract and learn more about this exciting Valve World event.
Regards,
Steve Fennell, Senior Editor
