Valve World Calgary: More Than a Year of Planning

With more than a year of planning all the specific details, the Valve World Calgary Expo & Conference 2026 has generated strong participation from the global flow control industry. Upwards of 100 exhibitors will be in attendance and the conference has been finalized with expert Panel Discussions, Parallel Sessions, and Keynote Presentations. It is an opportunity you won ' t want to miss in the heart of downtown Calgary at the TELUS Convention Centre June 3 to 4.
Over two days, representatives from North America, Europe, and Asia will be addressing industry trends and topics of interest as well as networking to further build partnerships. For all the details, we have included the Advance Conference Program in this edition starting on page 23.
Special to this issue is our Cover Story featuring Bonney Forge. One of the long-standing industry leaders that serves multiple segments, the company celebrates 150 years in 2026. Few companies can tout such a significant achievement, and we are excited to share its insightful history, accomplishments, and key milestones.
To recognize this issue’ s Special Topic of Control & Smart Valves, senior engineer Arun Kumar Krishnan returns to our pages detailing how characterized plug trims, smart positioners, and sleeve-line technology bring modulating control capabilities in corrosive chemical service. Turn to page 18 to read the full article.
On page 28, we continue with the second installment of Fluidized Catalytic Units: A Process Safety Perspective, which addresses isolation system designs and digitalization smart isolation systems. In case you missed it, you can review the first installment in our April 2026 issue.
On a parting note, we wish you an insightful experience at our inaugural Canadian Valve World Expo & Conference. Feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions concerning details of this year’ s event at s. fennell @ kci-world. com.
Regards, Steve Fennell, Senior Editor
