To strengthen its OpenBlue digital ecosystem, Johnson Controls has acquired Nantum AI, which specializes in AI algorithms to help businesses unlock energy savings, enhance system controls, and improve operational efficiency.
Adding proprietary AI-driven algorithms will further optimize HVAC performance, reduce energy consumption, and optimize real-time airflow in complex buildings across healthcare campuses and advanced manufacturing environments. The first combined offering is currently being piloted.
The addition will also enhance OpenBlue’ s ability to help building operators make more informed decisions that improve energy efficiency while maintaining comfort and reliability.
SLB Launches Reservoir Mapping Solution
AlphaSight is SLB’ s latest innovation in reservoir mapping and drilling intelligence. The system is designed to enhance visibility and control as well as maximize production potential in complex drilling environments.
According to SLB, AlphaSight will deliver clearer subsurface insight at significantly further depths, helping operators comprehend reservoir structures in real time, providing more confident drilling decisions without slowing performance.

Sun Hydraulics Introduces QMEH Cartridge Valve
Sun Hydraulics has launched the QMEH cartridge-style flow meter, designed for seamless integration and regulatory compliance. It features a position sensor that is certified to CE standards and operates in electronically noisy vehicle environments without causing interference.
The design incorporates a coiled flexible printed circuit board, enabling a compact sensor footprint. The valve leverages this sensor technology to precisely measure flow and convert electrical signals into proportional flow rates. The modular position sensor platform is expected to be deployed across multiple applications within its Motion Control Technology portfolio.
Available in multiple flow ranges, QMEH supports operating pressures up to 5,000 psi( 350 bar) across all ports, ensuring consistent performance even under extreme conditions.
