Industry Advancements & Energy Transition
By the time you read this June edition, our Valve World Calgary Expo & Conference 2026 will be taking place at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre. We are excited about the amount of enthusiasm and industry participation this year and plans are underway to return in 2028. If you did not have the opportunity to attend, you can review the full retrospect article at www. valveworldamericas. com in the coming weeks.
We begin this June issue of Valve World Americas with our Cover Story on Curtiss-Wright. Some of the interesting news is the announcement of the new Tritex EX ® electromechanical linear roller screw actuator, which will be available in Q3 2026. As the actuator builds on previous models in the series, it aligns with many applications including the upstream oil & gas sector. You can read the full article starting on page 6 of this issue.
To support our June Special Topic on Hydrogen / Renewable Energy, we provide expertise on recognizing the weaknesses in traditional valve materials and how engineers may need to reexamine how valves are designed to better manage hydrogen infrastructure. The article, When Hydrogen Breaks the Seal, starts on page 18. Another article focusing on our Special Topic is how geothermal energy is more sustainably harnessed and the role valves play in the extensive process. Turn to page 31 to read the full article.
Our June issue of Valve World Americas maintains a strong editorial focus on emerging trends, industry news, and expert perspectives across the flow control sector. As we continue receiving responses to our editorial submission requests, we are already looking ahead to delivering even more insightful content throughout 2026.
Regards, Steve Fennell, Senior Editor
