Interview with Alisa Glutz, Founder Claxxy Women Club

By Christina Wagner

I couldn’t tell you when I got the invite to join Claxxy. The group is set to “Secret” status. Which given the number of women in this group (over 3,000) I think the secret is out! If you are invited someone, as the description explains, “...thinks you are a positive, inspiring, sexy successful bad-ass woman!” That’s something I can wrap my mind, body and spirit around. Now what is “Claxxy” you might be thinking? It’s the sound of heels click clack. Members come to be inspired and inspire others with stories, events, deals, inspiration, motivation and more!

How do you manage it all?

Luckily our group from day one has been very collaborative. I think that’s one of the things that makes us unique. Some days you feel empowered and some days you need to be empowered. There are roughly 10-15 women a day that post as an encourager and some days there is entirely different 10-15 women. It really takes a lot of pressure off me to post and allows me to do it more authentically than forced. Pretty early on, I realized the power in women coming together and several were so wonderful to step up to become part

of an advisory group. They play a big part in making decisions and in planning events. I also have a

personal assistant, Salwa, that is

hugely instrumental in execution of ideas and making things happen.

Where do you see the group in the future?

Honestly, I am still just wrapping my head around how quickly the group grew in less than a year (Jan. 30, 2016 was when it began.) I never intended it to be a business or a place for me to market or promote my own business. I just needed a safe place. I needed to surround myself with women I knew had my back and that would inspire me to want to do more than what I was doing. I was in a place of despair when it started and by the Grace of God turning my eyes away from my own sorrow and pouring into lifting other women up, I started to see the cracks of light that pulled me through and continue to pull me through every day. I can only hope the group continues to grow and gives other women a place to turn to to make this life a bit easier.

What’s the typical Claxxy woman?

I would say typical is not a word you would ever use to describe a Claxxy woman. She is a positive, inspiring, courageous woman who wants to make a significant impact on this world and the women around her. She is a classy woman with a bit of sass who never apologizes for being who she is and is on a mission in creating
