Whether basking in the glory of victory or weathering the storms of defeat , the coach ’ s wife stands firmly by her spouse , providing encouragement and emotional sustenance .

Laquanda Felton , wife of Valdosta Wildcat Head Football Coach Shelton Felton , an educator herself , compares her work on the field to similar goals that educators share .
