Celebrating women ’ s history month .
“ There is no limit to what we , as women , can accomplish ,” Michelle Obama .
Women ’ s History Month is an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society . In this issue , we are celebrating women business owners in our community .
Hope Brown is a local Realtor and Broker at Legacy Realtors in Valdosta . She has over 11 years of experience in real estate and specializes in commercial , private , land , and investment property purchases .
Dr . Amanda Hall-Phillips turned her passion for animals and veterinary education leading her to open her own dog boarding daycare , The Southern Hound Club . Pets with behavioral issues , including human-directed aggression , pet-on-pet aggression , and phobias and concerns like separation anxiety , can get in-home veterinary behavior consultations from Hall-Phillips at SHC .
We celebrate local farming in Lowndes County with 2022 Large Farmer of the year , David Corbett of South Georgia Produce , and Small Farmer of the Year Janet and Steve Hendley of Fifth Day Farm .
The efforts of Front Door Produce , a firm that packs and ships boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables to customers ’ doorsteps , do more for the community than provide fresh produce through service .
