Hannah Wacter brings creative visions to life

Hannah Wacter ’ s journey as an artist began long before she picked up her first brush . Growing up in a creatively charged household , with parents who transitioned from medical professionals to full-time photographers and her uncle , Richard Gandy , who had a successful career as an artist , her life was infused with artistic principles from an early age .
“ My parents , being photographers , kind of instilled composition and showed us how to take a good picture with the foreground , middle ground , and background ,” stated Wacter .
Despite her early exposure to art , Wacter initially pursued a biology degree . She was drawn to science and a more pragmatic career path . While in college , she began painting commissions for friends on the side . The experience proved transformative .
Hannah Wacter began her early career with dog portraits and commissions .
