SOUTHERN GEORGIA BLACK CHAMBERS
The U . S . Small Business Administration ( SBA ) is offering residents and businesses in South Georgia low-interest disaster loans that cover up to 100 percent of flood damages due to the recent disaster . These loans , with terms up to 30 years , cover many damages not covered by insurance or FEMA grants . Loans can also be used to assist with relocation or mitigation improvements to reduce likelihood of future damages from similar events .
The disaster declaration covers Berrien , Brooks , Cook , Glynn , and Lowndes counties in Georgia , which are eligible for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans ( EIDL ) from the SBA . Small businesses and nonprofits in the adjacent counties are eligible to apply only for EIDLs : Atkinson , Brantley , Camden , Coffee , Colquitt , Echols , Irwin , Lanier , McIntosh , Thomas , Tift , and Wayne in Georgia ; and Hamilton , Jefferson , and Madison in Florida .
