Are You Misinterpreting Their Words Or Behaviors ? As mentioned above , be careful not to overanalyze your partner ’ s behaviors or intentions . If you are an overthinker who is constantly worrying about your future , be careful . People who have been burned or hurt in a past relationship may be overly fearful of your new partner doing the same types of behaviors . Just because your partner doesn ’ t seem to want to hold your hand doesn ’ t mean that they don ’ t love you . It may be because they have sweaty palms .
Do You Spend Too Much Time Worrying About The Future Of Your Relationship ? Some people spend more time worrying about their relationship than they do enjoying the relationship . Do you need to redirect your thoughts towards focusing on the good times as opposed to worrying about things that probably haven ’ t happened and perhaps never will ?
Does Your Previous Relationship History Cause You Anxiety ? Relationship anxiety can be more likely to be worse if you ’ ve had negative experiences in past relationships . Have you ever had a partner who cheated on you ? Lied to you ? Cut things off with you unexpectedly ? Made you believe they loved you but really didn ’ t ? These experiences can linger for years to come . Be careful not to allow these experiences to overly influence your current relationship , especially , if your current partner is not exhibiting any of these behaviors .
Does Your Low Self-Esteem Affect Things ? If you have low self-esteem , you may be more likely to struggle with these common relationship anxieties so be mindful that you may be a candidate for these fears .
All of these relationship anxieties can be helped . You do not have to be emotionally imprisoned by them . Just because they seem possible or real , they don ’ t have to determine your future . Be proactive in taking charge of your relationship mindset . Read books and articles on building positive relationship skills . Seek out a therapist to address your concerns with . Do whatever is necessary to end needless worry .
