Fall!
September 22nd marked the first official day of autumn and as with the official arrival
of fall upon us, we now acknowledge the season of change and embrace all that the
new landscape brings. It’s a time of year when day and night are of equal length and
we are reminded that nature’s cycles are mirrored in our lives. Autumn can be viewed
as a time for letting go, preparing for winter and starting anew. Autumn also reminds
us of the impermanence of everything. We have experienced the budding of life in
spring and the flowerings and profusions of summer. Now the leaves fall and bare
branches remind us of the fleeting nature of all things.
For me, this time of year also brings home to consciousness the cycle of life and the
challenge to live every day to the fullest.
Our resorts experienced hurricane force winds and rain earlier this month as Hurricane
Irma passed through Central Florida impacting Summer Bay Orlando, Grand Seas in
Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Waves in New Smyrna Beach. Look to the HOA
updates section for resort specific recovery efforts. And while the Florida landscape
recovers from high winds, heavy rains and storm surge, Tennessee resorts are
surrounded by the splendor of autumn as leaves turn bright orange, red, and yellow.
