JAMAICA: " Our actions in solidarity with Gaza included flying the flag on our property and opening space during our rising for conversations about Gaza and Palestine and how the struggles are intersectional and relevant to the climate crisis and land justice faced here in Jamaica, especially the limitations on women owning land, and land occupation and development by foreign territories. It was riveting and offered us space to feel what is at the roots of land justice in Gaza and the critical ways we can be in solidarity for sustaining our futures. The talks brought up many emotions. We moved through processes to gain clarity around differing opinions and understanding how Gaza’ s struggles are ours too.” – Afia( OBR Jamaica coordinator)
