VOICES
VOICES is an interdisciplinary arts piece and campaign by V-Day grounded in Black women ’ s stories to end violence against women : cis women , trans women , and non binary people .
Together with an extraordinary team of young Black women , Voices Artistic Creative Director Aja Monet set the stage for VOICES – launching an open call for submission , creating a series of conversations called “ The Listening Tour ” on Instagram Live that featured artists , thinkers and activists including Carrie Mae Weems , Kerry Washington , Jordyn Jay , Liza Jessie Peterson , Adrienne Maree Brown , and Radha Blank , developing a new website and social media campaign to spread the word . Over 900 submissions received are currently being reviewed .
