ACTIVISTS INFUSED THEIR PRODUCTIONS WITH THE SPIRIT OF V20: RISE, RESIST & UNITE and produced the play in radical spaces including city halls, houses of worship, and in front of Trump Tower. They platformed Resistance within their productions by collaborating with a range of local anti-violence groups, including groups working to end campus sexual assault. They worked with Say Her Name and Black Lives Matter, as well as other groups working to support refugees and immigrant rights, end mass incarceration, promote fair pay and economic justice issues for women workers and more. They amplified and uplifted the most marginalized identities and narratives within their communities and centered their identities on stage; harnessing the power of The Vagina Monologues to create a space for critical conversations and voices. Cast members included formerly incarcerated women, women workers, Indigenous women, immigrant women, transgender women and gender nonconforming folks.
