WORKERS RISING
Workers Risings became a major highlight this year –
highlighting connecting issues that condone, promote, escalate,
and sustain worsening exploitative conditions of workers. From
roots of poverty to endemic abuse of workers, domestic workers,
migrant workers, factory workers, restaurant workers, shop
workers, nurses, farmworkers, garment workers, and vendors
rose to demand economic, political and social SYSTEM CHANGE.
Workers Risings also highlighted the massive problem of human
labor and sex trafficking, whose roots also lie in poverty.
