EQUALITY LABS
Equality Labs established a Dalit women-led office in the NYC tri-state area to serve as the first ever hub for Dalit organizing in
the United States. This organizing hub anchored Equality Lab’s projects in India and the US, as well as to expand to supporting
other women of color movements with resilience strategies they developed working under Modi, especially digital security. The
award also allowed Equality Labs to provide residential facilities for Dalit women activists and survivors and support additional
staff to help sustainably grow to deal with this increased need in their networks through digital security trainings for individuals
and stakeholders in immigrant, women of color, Muslim, and LGBTQ organizations in the resistance movement.
