In Sarasota, Florida, a production of A Memory,
a Monologue, a Rant and a Prayer with the
Coalition of Immokalee Workers, a worker-
based human rights organization internationally
recognized for its achievements in the fields
of social responsibility, human trafficking,
and gender-based violence at work, had
great impact. Not only did the show end with
attendees dancing in solidarity to “Break the
Chain” but CIW also hosted a series of Women’s
Conversation Circles in people’s homes following
the performance.
