ending workplace sexual harassment, strong labor laws
and the ability for women to thrive was amplified by many
risings this year. In Cyprus, for example, the Women’s Lobby
rose for the rights of domestic workers, sex workers joined
the local Rise for Revolution march to end violence against
women in Tanzania. The Workers Rising initiative is fuelled
by the collective actions of grassroots workers around the
globe who are fighting against the most severe forms of
exploitation and inequality.
