UZIEL Fighting System: Police & Military CQC/H2H FEBRUARY 2014 | Page 36

35 Military/Scenario: This is another is our seated hostage positions. This scenario occurs very close to the Officer/Soldier with the muzzle close to his head. Breakdown: Picture 2, shows that I am moving to my L (off center) from the arch of fire while striking the top of the Attacker’s R forearm (median nerve) and using my R hand to secure the slide in conjunction with my forearm to lock the R wrist. I rip the firearm down and upward as hard as possible while shoving the opponent away using my L hand. “Tap & Rack” to chamber a round as the pistol may be out of battery during the struggle. Notice the reactionary gap available in picture 7 with the firearm kept in a high-ready position. Details: I would recommend practicing from the seated position to improve muscle memory. Special attention should be paid to moving from the 12 o’clock position while performing the gun rip (rip). Safety: Other than the chance of injuring the fingers while manipulating the practice pistol, there is little risk associated with in class work. UZIEL Fighting Systems 2014
