Mairo: Okay, well for deving in general it
would be a good to start of knowing the basics of drawing, like shading, blending and
choosing which color to use. I used to draw
since I was little so for me the transition of
drawing something on paper to drawing
something on template was so much easier I
already had those skills. Now when it comes
to making skins, I heard some people say it
is one of the hardest things to texture so I
don’t advice starting there unless you really
want to, but if you do decide to start making
skins, it would be a great idea to go in the
forums and read all the tutorials that are on
there. I know a lot of those are very old and
might not be as useful now (since the quality that the skins that were made back then
when they tutorials were made are way different than the ones now) but there are still
some very helpful ones, I actually made a
group for that, because I saw a bunch of the
old tuts link are broken or remove, so I went
through and gathered all of the ones that
helped me out and linked it all in my group,
Riot Maker. It was very frustrating finding
stuff that would actually help me, so I can’t
imagine what someone who is just starting
making skins is feeling when they are trying
to get help and they are just being pointed
to some old tut links that may or may not be
there still.
