teaching kids building divers from the ground up BYU UTD INSTRUCTOR BEN BOS T eaching a group of four divers is sometimes a challenge. Teaching a group of 24 divers puts you to the test but it is a lot of fun. Our dive center had good relations with a few schools in the past, but since we started with teaching them in the UTD/DIR way the numbers kept growing and growing. It is both changeling and a lot of fun teaching these kids about the physics and physiology involved with diving. Having taught diving for the biggest part of my life, I still find it interesting how you have to adapt to the ever changing demand of the students. The examples you have to give and analogies you make to drive your point home changes almost every time you step in front of a new class of kids.
