Students who kneel are also not learning anything about managing an
emergency. How ridiculous is it to teach an airshare while kneeling. How
to you instill in students that an airshare is designed to get two divers to
the surface while under control, not clawing their way up a line.
This type of training has to stop. The worldwide community of instructors must start to teach proper buoyancy and weighting. Everyone should
participate in an Extreme Scuba Makeover. There should be no more
teaching students to breathe underwater. They must be taught to actually
dive.
