Lewis and Adam head into the water under the supervision of UTD Instructor Mario Perez Garcia. say the confidence I had quickly disappeared and I slipped back into not wanting to do the course. My buddy Lewis convinced me to carry on with day 2, and with better weather conditions, a greater understanding of diving and a confidence boost from Mario, I quickly got used to the equipment and the water and loved it. Day 3 and 4 were a breeze with practising the basic 6 and learning to navigate. I had a fantastic experience thanks to Rivemar, UTD and specifically Mario. I’m not sure I would have been able to complete the course if it weren’t for his enthusiasm and understanding. Adam Churcher Mario Responds: If there is one thing better than teaching an Open Water course, it is to teach an Open Water course to someone who is completely scared. Seeing the evolution in and out of the water is simply ... exciting, Adam was one of these students and he did great, I hope he continues on the diving path showing everyone how is possible to do something that “blocks” your mind.
