CONFIDENCE BUILDING – THE
HALLMARK OF A GREAT INSTRUCTOR
I
signed up for the Open Water Course with apprehension as
even though I thought it would be a fantastic experience, I am
not the most comfortable in water in swimming pools, let alone
the sea.
Leading up and on the journey to Rivemar in Spain I was still
incredibly nervous about doing the course and was debating
on whether to actually continue with it or not. After meeting
Mario, he explained the course in detail with great personality
which put confidence in me to continue.
The first day consisted of getting used to the water and started
with snorkeling after our morning theory. Due to poor weather
I was slightly traumatised after choking multiple times! Safe to
