UTD's mission has always been to be a "Progressive" organization, whether by creating the highest quality standards and procedures in scuba diving education, or the most innovative scuba diving products on
the market. Our new website (and software) are definitely a reflection of that mission. We really thought
outside the box on this one and came up with something truly innovative. Each area of the site helps our
customers reach their diving goals and also helps our UTD Watersports retail stores, training facilities,
dealers and instructors better serve you, the customer.
The product section is easy to navigate. You will quickly find the UTD products you desire, and you will
see which products are distributed by which Regional Partners – Europe, Asia, Middle East/Africa, or
North America/Worldwide. We now ship from the closest region, so no longer do we have products made
in Europe, warehoused in California, then shipped back to Europe.
There are many normal e-commerce features such as
• Multiple high resolution images
• Product videos and descriptions
• Specifications
But there are also some amazing features we included:
• Multiple languages
• Pricing in your local currency
• Inventory of UTD Partners and your local UTD Watersports, Training Facility and/or Dealers
In other words, if you see that your local UTD Watersports, local UTD facility, or local UTD dealer has
the UTD product you want in stock, you can purchase it and pick it up. This transaction is completed
seamlessly from the UTD Scuba Diving website. You simply select the product you want, select the
dealer you want to pick it up from (in-store pickup), pay for it, drive down to the dealer. They will also
help you assemble your gear.
This dive center also becomes your service center and point of contact for warranty and after-sales service.
The e-commerce system also integrates with the UTD education system, allowing for the purchase of
products that are connected to UTD classes.
