Upon his return to Singapore after the San Diego
IDC, he started promoting UTD and Hogarthian
philosophies and encouraged divers to become
“thinking divers.” Over the next few years, he
contributed greatly to the growth of UTD divers
and instructors across Asia and the Philippines.
Now UTD has grown to over 18 instructors
in this Asia Pacific region. As a UTD Cave
Instructor, Poh Chang plays an active role in contributing to the growth of the local cave community. In 2013 he
conducted multiple cave courses in Philippines and in 2014 will see him venturing into China and Indonesia.
His diving has been mainly in exploring the deep wrecks in South China
Sea, spectacular wall diving in Celebes Seas, and atolls of the India Ocea
