In July 2013, the Val R. Christensen Service Center joined with Aggie Blue Bikes, Blue Goes Green Student Sustainability Office, Education Outreach, Service-Learning, and Utah Conservation Corps to form a new department named the USU Center for Civic Engagement and Service-Learning.
The Val R. Christensen Service Center has worked extensively with many of these programs in the past and these programs now a mission to develop the engaged citizens through service and education.
As a former AmeriCorps VISTA that served at the Val R. Christensen Service Center, I am excited to combine the collective efforts of all the programs within the department to elevate the status of engaged learning on the USU campus!
