Week of Welcome: Blood Battle

Partnering with the American Red Cross, the Service Center hosted the annual Blood Battle, a blood drive that pits Utah State student and faculty donors against the rest of the state. Continuing the winning streak, USU won for the fourth year in the row.

Stuff-a-Bus

As it has done so for over ten years, the Service Center sponsored the annual community food drive in the month of November. Raising over 16,00 pounds of food, the Service Center also partnered wtih local stores and the local Sub for Santa organization to raise over $1,200 for families in need of Christmas.

Service Week

Throughout the course of a week in April, the Service Center sponsored over 17 programs focused on celebrating the service done by students at USU. Activities included a Service Carnival, the annual Immigration Forum, a picnic with Friends of the Elderly, and the Best Buddies Talent Show.

Aggies Giving Service (AGS)

During the 2013-2014 school year, over 19,900

hours were logged using Aggies Giving Service

(AGS) the online volunteer tracking system.

Volunteers logged hours with over 50 campus

and community organizations. Organizations

that logged the most hours include: the Val R.

Christensen Service Center, the USU Student

Association (USU/SA), the USU Greek System,

and the Cache Valley Volunteer Center.
