A comedy of errors that might just take you on
a trip down memory lane, Road to Nhill is a warm,
hilarious and all Australian feature. The film boasts
the biggest line up of iconic Australian actors ever
to be brought together for a feature film. This
includes a cameo by the father of the Australian
film industry revival, Phillip Adams in a whimsically
ironic role.
Set in the town of Pyramid Hill (VIC) the film
follows the search for a car-load of lady-bowlers
who are involved in an accident on their way
back from a tournament at Quambotook. Unsure
exactly what road the accident happened on,
their husbands go in all directions, as an
ambulance gets lost and a local policeman
misses the scene altogether.
Trivia bite: Road to Nhill had an all-female creative
team: Sue Maslin (Producer), Alison Tilson (Writer),
Sue Brooks (Director), and Elizabeth Drake
(Composer).
