This hilarious road trip sees a comically
dysfunctional and emotionally bankrupt family
help their youngest member to dispute the title
every seven-year-old wants: Little Miss Sunshine.
The long drive to the California based pageant
leaves much time for trouble and there is sure to
be plenty as Olive and her mum are joined by a
suicidal Proust expert, an unsuccessful self-help
author, a silent Nietzsche-crazed teenager and a
retirement home expellee!
Trivia bite: The lead actress Abigail Breslin (Olive)
really is listening to loud music through her
headphones in the film because the director
didn’t want her hearing the curse words!
