In the post porduction stages I used much more technical software to create and edit my pieces. For my main product I was primarily using iMovie 10 on my Macbook Pro, I did debate using Final Cut Pro but I felt that iMovie had all of the functions that I needed on it and thre was no point spending time teaching mysefl how to use Final Cut when I could do all that I needed on iMovie. However Final Cut did have a wider library of sound effects that I was interested in using so I unpacked the software and retrieved these, then exported them to iMovie through Logic (a music mixing software)
For my ancillary products I used Adobe Photoshop, and although this was a brand new software that I'd not used before, I used Youtube to teach myself how to do the basics and explored from there to create my magazine and film poster.
When retrieving my audience feedback I used Quicktime Player to present my work and found it extremely effective, rarely crashing or skipping even when dealing with high quality videos.

My pick of software
Adobe Photoshop
I found photoshop to be incredibly precise and although initially tough to grasp, a masterfull tool
iMovie 10
Obviously this was my most used piece of software when making my trailer and I found it to be perfectly suited to my needs
