Film Camera
Below you will see the positives and negatives of using a film camera
1
Solid State = more reliable and not as easy to lose
Film Grain gives it the vintage look that I wanted for my film
I found it delat with dark conditions better that the digitals
Can use manual focus to control depth of field
Not as high quality as some of the digital models
Cameras, tripods and
lighting rigs
I used various pieces of hardware when creating my main and ancillarly products. Obviously my most used piece of hardware was the Sony Vario Sonnar. I chose this because it uses tape to record directly onto as opposed to a hard drive digitally. It gave me the film grain style that fits into the 1970s time period I set my project in.
I found it to be mu8ch better at dealing with low lighting than the schools Sony Digital Cameras and although the Vario Sonnar was lower quality than some other digital cameras such as DSLRs, it was the highest quality of camera avalbale to me.
