Then shortly after noon EST on Friday, the whole NBA world turned upside down. LeBron James announced he was headed home in a heart felt essay on Sports Illustrated. Cleveland fans celebrated and forgave the King for embarrassing them on national TV 4 years earlier. James described the return was a homecoming and he was ready to give the fans what they deserved “To be World Champions”. Suddenly the Cleveland Cavaliers became Championship contenders and rumors were starting to fly about Kevin Love being traded to Cleveland.

Finally after the dust settled Carmelo Anthony made his decision final to return to the Knicks. Pau Gasol signed with the Chicago Bulls and the NBA was moving forward again. Teams were beginnings to reshape their roster and prepare for next season. It was a strange period of time as a whole league waited for one player to make his decision.
