Potential New Member

Code of Ethics

There shall be NO CONTACT between Potential New Members and active sorority members during Formal Recruitment outside of Panhellenic sponsored events. This includes texting, calling, internet communication via Twitter, Facebook, email, etc. Please keep face-to-face contact to a minimum.

Potential New Members shall dress comfortably. (Note: Most PNMs will be dressed in business casual attire, except for Day One where all PNMs will wear the shirt provided to them by Panhellenic.) The chapters will all be wearing flat shoes on the first day, so PNMs are encouraged to do the same- it will be a long day on your feet the entire time.

Potential New Members shall be honest and sincere in their actions.

Potential New Members shall conduct conversations with active members in an appropriate manner. Please only ask questions pertaining to the chapter you are visiting.

Potential New Members shall accept decisions made by chapters and Panhellenic officers in a respectful manner.

Potential New Members shall not try to influence each other’s decisions. Please be mindful of what is said about each chapter while in front of other Potential New Members.

Potential New Members shall ask questions about sorority proceedings (i.e. member selection) to either the sorority to which the question pertains, to her Sigma Rho Chi, or a Panhellenic officer.
